wo·me·nize

/wɪ́mən àjz/

verb
womenized, womenizing, womenizes

  1. To transform a male-dominated environment into one that’s more inclusive for women and non-binary people;
  2. To actively promote and support women’s participation in an industry;
  3. In other words: it’s the antithesis of ‘womanize’; – it’s an event and initiative celebrating and honoring women and further marginalized voices!

ABOUT

Empower – Educate – Elevate

Womenize! highlights and documents success stories, connects people and puts a spotlight on diverse talents within the games industry. The stage belongs to them!

Womenize! is an event series for women, non-binary people and all marginalized voices in the games and tech industry, including HR & culture managers, decision makers, institutions and multipliers.

Womenize!
is a community driven, open minded and inclusive event, bringing together emerging talents with inspiring figures of the games and tech industry, as well as education and research.

The ultimate aspiration is for Womenize! to become obsolete, as its mission of promoting gender diversity and inclusivity in the industry becomes so ingrained that such initiatives are no longer necessary, and equality becomes an inherent part of the gaming landscape. Acknowledging the current reality, it’s clear that there is still a significant journey ahead of us!

Conference

The conference program is packed with captivating keynotes, engaging talks, and insightful panel discussions covering a range of topics including game development, narrative storytelling, mentoring, career building and entrepreneurship, marketing and more!

Workshops

The workshop program is not just about learning new skills – they’re about empowerment and growth. Dive into hands-on sessions led by industry experts. Our workshops offer a supportive environment for women, non-binary people and further marginalized groups to thrive.

Networking

During the conference you will get the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, industry professionals, and inspiring leaders in games and tech. Whether you’re seeking mentorship, collaboration or simply looking to expand your professional circle.

The Venue: STATION BERLIN

Womenize!, as part of gamesweekberlin PRO X, is hosted by the STATION Berlin, one of the most extraordinary locations in Europe and situated at the heart of Germany’s capital city.

Its superb accessibility, its dimensions, its technological resources as well as its architecture – which enjoys protected status as a historic landmark – collectively make this site a national and international hotspot.

Originally built in 1875, the rail station served trains headed to Dresden as well as the through-coaches continuing to Vienna and Prague. Under the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the site was rededicated in 1907. Thereafter, it served as the Postbahnhof, supplying Berlin for the next 90 years with packages and goods imported from throughout the entire world. During the postwar period, the train station attained special significance: it was the end stop for one of the most important arteries that connected West Berlin to West Germany.

Address: STATION Berlin, Luckenwalder Str. 4–6, 10963 Berlin, Germany
